Ofsted Report 2024 

Northgate High School had a Section 5 Ofsted inspection on 3rd and 4th December 2024.  A Section 5 graded inspection uses Ofsted's full framework and grades the school against the current framework grade descriptors.  This means that we have received a single word judgement about each of the following key areas - quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, sixth form and leadership and management.  Five inspectors spent two days inspecting these areas of the school's provision.  There is no overall effectiveness grade. 

In addition to the single word judgement in each key area, you will find in the inspection report that the inspectors have provided further written feedback about the work of the school.  The report describes what it is like for students to attend Northgate, what we do well and what we could do better.  The final part of the report gives information about the inspection.
